🌀I asked for help, and no reply..

💔Have you noticed how social media is full of content creators making a fortune off of human emotion? Half of them aren’t even certified experts! They gain millions of followers just by sharing horrible, dramatic stories. No one even knows if they are true or just gawa-gawa lang (totally made up) for the likes, comments, and engagement. Some just sit there and curse at the camera, and people actually tune in for it! Talk about a wild target audience.🤔
🫣Before I reveal the newest chapter of my digital footprint—which you probably won't even realize is new, because it's actually just my decision to bring back my natural curls (and yes, I’ve been rocking them lately!)—let’s talk.
👩🦱Before this big hair transformation from a straight bob to long, bouncy curls, allow me to share something incredibly personal. 🍿You might want to grab a snack and read closely, because I rarely get this vulnerable on this page.
🫂Sometimes, all we really need is that one person who can look us in the eye and say, "Hey, it’s okay. Whatever happens, I’m not leaving you." Whether it’s a friend, a partner, or any kind of relationship, just knowing someone has your back gives you superhuman strength when you feel completely shattered.
⚡️I once had someone who I was certain would always stand by my side. But during the chaotic roller coaster ride of life, that person vanished into thin air. I asked for help. I got radio silence.
🎙️If you listen to my Wow Taiwan Podcast (Gen PhilTai Diary), you already know I talk a lot about my health and how the amazing medical care here in Taiwan helped me get better.
😱But I will never forget that one terrifying night. I couldn't breathe. I couldn't sleep. My stomach was in such severe pain that I couldn't even move. I was completely alone for a work trip, trapped in a hotel room, feeling entirely helpless. I desperately needed a lifeline. Just when the pain became unbearable, the hotel staff called my room. They quickly booked a taxi, and I was rushed to the nearest emergency room. I got my injections, stared at the IV drip waiting for it to finally finish, and then limped back to the hotel.
🔆The very next day? I pulled myself together, gathered every single ounce of strength I had left to finish my work assignment, and only rested properly afterward. (Because the grind doesn't stop, even when your body wants to!)
‼️That wasn't a one-time thing, either. I’ve been in and out of the ER and have been admitted to the hospital more than three times. I was completely alone the entire time. Honestly, I am so thankful for the nurses who were kind enough to give me their extra time and checking up on me outside of my scheduled medication hours. In my hospital bed, by the corner, and even in the restroom, there was always that magical emergency button connected to the nurses' station. Press it, and they come rushing to help. So there I was—alone in a quiet room, silently healing.❤️🩹
💛Almost two years have passed since that lowest point, and I must say, I am doing so much better now! I still have to go in for regular checkups, but my heart is finally healing from a tough reality: in this life, you are almost always alone in your biggest battles.💯
🌙Still, I can’t help but wonder about the mindset of people who are asked for help and intentionally choose to ignore someone who is begging for it.
🤍Kindness, time, and care don't cost a thing. A simple "Hi, how are you?" can truly save a life.🤍
🙏I am definitely not writing this to throw a pity party or make paawa to my readers. I just want to share how this experience made me finally understand what someone in my close circle always tells me:
🫵"Don't assume everyone has a good heart just because you do. Even if they love you, even if they are family or a best friend, they can turn their backs on you at any moment."
🥸We live in an evil world. Things can flip 180 degrees in a heartbeat, and the person who was your closest confidant yesterday can suddenly become your biggest hater today.😶🌫️
🧠Even though I understand this concept now, I still feel a little sad for my past self. At the end of the day,
💯I’m just a real, genuine person who simply wishes to find people who are just as real and sincere.
🗣️There are so many words left unsaid, and zero chances left to explain to the people who walked away why things turned out the way they did. For someone like me who has been betrayed multiple times, my absolute love and devotion to the people I considered family took a massive toll on my physical health.
😇But I am so incredibly blessed because, despite everything I have survived, God was right there with me. If it weren't for my faith and knowing His forgiveness and grace, I honestly don't know how I would have recovered from the 💔 or the medical emergencies.
🍂Earlier this year, I lost another person who was incredibly dear to me. I had so many things left to say, but I no longer have the chance to share my heart.
🩶Grief is a heavy, uncomfortable monster, but I refuse to run away from it. I want to feel every bit of the pain until I fully learn the lesson, heal, and hopefully become a better version of myself.
🧨Losing people you consider family feels like losing a literal piece of your heart. Sometimes, I wish I could just wake up from this sad dream and understand why things happened this way.
No one truly knows the battles we suffer through in total silence. If only we had communicated better, things might have still ended and people might have still left—but at least everything would be crystal clear. My conscience, at least, is completely clear. If I ever got the chance to speak to those who left again, I know exactly what I would say.
❤️🔥Thank you all for being here and supporting my page. I know my content hops from travels to events to intense political issues, which are all completely different worlds! But hey, maybe that’s what keeps this page interesting. One minute you're getting angry at political dramas, and the next minute you're smiling at a beautiful tourist spot.
🫶Life is weird like that, but it's okay. God is faithful. He won't leave me just because I'm a little weird, my words are weird, or things in life got a bit complicated.
😻I can’t wait to finally post my curly hair season! Stay tuned!
"If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is."
