What does it really take to go from studying in Taiwan to building a career here? π
Last Saturday at National Cheng Kung University, we explored that question through Campus to Career: Taiwan Job Readiness Workshop, a session hosted by Talent Taiwan x Cake as part of βPowering the Future: Green Talent in the AI Eraβ by Cake x Student Energy.
The session brought together practical guidance from different angles of the international talent journey in Taiwan:
π‘ Dennis Chen from Talent Taiwan shared visa, immigration, and career resources for international talent, including the newly launched Taiwan Career Quest
π Evelyn Peng from Cake Global led a practical workshop on resume writing, job search strategies, and navigating Taiwanβs hiring market
π¬ We wrapped up with networking roundtables, where participants had the chance to connect with the speakers more personally. It was especially meaningful to hear from NCKU alumna Nidnoi, now working in Tainan as a Business Development Manager, and to learn from her journey firsthand
More than just information, the session gave students something equally important: clarity β¨
Because building a career in Taiwan is not simply about applying for jobs. It is also about understanding the system, knowing what support is available, and learning how to position yourself with confidence.
A big thank-you to Dennis, Evelyn, and Nidnoi for making the session so thoughtful, practical, and encouraging π
And thank you to everyone who joined us. Weβre glad to keep creating spaces where international talent can feel more supported, better prepared, and more confident about their next step in Taiwan π
