1978年本舖負責人李春霖師傅在台中、台北研習製餅藝術的啟發，並匯集了各方的製餅技術，1985年在濃厚的媽祖文化小鎮大甲，正式創立「楓葉藝術蛋糕」，承蒙大甲在地鄉親及來自全台各地大甲媽祖信眾的肯定，於1988年大甲順天路（媽祖廟旁）擴大我們的事業，同時將店招正名並註冊商標為「楓葉食品大甲媽餅店」。

來自竹科近千家企業對我們產品的青睞，以及多位影藝明星親臨本店與媒體廣播大力的介紹，使本店人氣竄升、人聲鼎沸、萬頭鑽巷，更在2000年榮獲中華民國消費者協會『千禧金牌獎』，並獲得總統府中秋月餅指定製造廠商，使我們更著重在產品的品質與研發上，以回報所有支持我們的鄉親、消費大眾。

「真誠、創意、品質，道地台中情」，是我們基本的經營理念。帶著大甲媽祖的傳統精神，2012年本舖在台中北屯路上成立示範總店，還同時在網際網路建置購物平台，不但如此，我們還建立了加盟制度，以期結合同好服務更廣眾的饕家。
