After two years of working holiday in Australia, I finally got the chance to make a whipped cream strawberry cake at a friend’s house.
Without all the proper equipment and an oven, I could never have made it on my own.
And I finally realized,a delicious cake only becomes special when you share it with someone you love. Otherwise, it’s just another dessert.

I’ll be leaving Australia soon, with so many memories and so much to miss.
I’ll always treasure these moments, and hope to see all my Taiwanese friends again soon!

利用休假時間慢慢做了開心果錫蘭紅的千層糕
在澳洲因為常移動換share house的原因
每間房子的配置不一有時會得到一個超大的烤箱
有時連一個吐司小烤箱都沒有
所以這次手癢又沒烤箱的情況下
用平常炒菜的平底鍋克難完成千層糕

就這樣再次拯救了
生活在食物沙漠的自己
為自己鼓掌👏

Australia has all sorts of specialty stores, and they’re huge! One day, while browsing Google Maps, I stumbled upon a flour specialty store. Suddenly, I was itching to recreate the texture of focaccia, so I decided to check out that store.

Once inside, there were all sorts of flours—wheat, gluten-free, pastry-specific, you name it! It was a baker‘s paradise. I found the perfect flour for making focaccia and pizza dough, so I happily bought it and headed home to start my focaccia-making day.

When the focaccia came out of the oven, the crust was wonderfully crispy, thanks to the garlic-infused olive oil. I especially loved the slightly tangy-sweet flavor of the roasted cherry tomatoes. They’re perfect for sandwiches or brunch platters.

I‘m thankful someone invented this type of bread. It’s so easy to make and incredibly delicious. I‘m loving this world with focaccia in it.

澳洲什麼都有專賣店，而且會開超大一間。有天我在google maps上看到了一間麵粉專賣店，突然手癢非常想念做佛卡夏的手感，就決定去那間專賣店一探究竟。

一進去琳瑯滿目各式各樣的麵粉，小麥、無麩質、糕點專用等，應有盡有真的是烘焙者的福音，而我也找到了適合做佛卡夏和披薩皮的麵粉，因此興高采烈買回家開始製作佛卡夏的一天。

佛卡夏出爐後，表皮因為大蒜橄欖油的加持，變得非常香脆，最喜歡小番茄被烘烤過後微微酸甜的味道，做成三明治或早午餐拼盤的一員都非常合適。

謝謝世界上有人發明了這種麵包，製作起來非常簡單，又輕易的非常好吃。好愛有佛卡夏的世界。

\台灣的大家開工大吉/

澳洲的除夕夜，朋友邀約每人帶一道菜來個年夜飯，我小小的腦袋又開始高速運轉，想起最愛的年菜炸年糕，年糕在澳洲不好取得，但材料簡單Woolies就買得到，就自己動手蒸了一顆，再將年糕切成小塊放進巴斯克蛋糕裡，成了兩種口感和風味融合的甜點。

澳洲的年夜飯融合了各國料理，有傳統台菜mix澳洲拿手菜還有韓國辣炒年糕，已然習慣這種族群多元，大家用簡單詞彙交流也能輕鬆自在的畫面，這就是澳洲吧！

On New Year’s Eve in Australia, friends invited me to a potluck dinner, each bringing a dish for a feast. My mind started racing again, thinking of my favorite New Year‘s dish, fried rice cakes. Since it’s hard to find rice cakes in Australia, but the ingredients are simple and available at Woolies, I decided to steam one myself. Then I cut the rice cake into small pieces and put them into a Basque cake, creating a dessert that blends two different textures and flavors.

The New Year‘s dinner in Australia blends cuisines from various countries, featuring traditional Taiwanese dishes mixed with Australian specialties and Korean spicy stir-fried rice cakes. I’ve grown accustomed to this multicultural environment where people effortlessly communicate using simple words, and that‘s what Australia is all about!

太久不見

很突然的放上自己的照片
怕大家太久沒見會想念

一個月前我飛到澳洲
開始打工度假的旅程
第一份工作在胡蘿蔔工廠上班
每天有拿不完的免費胡蘿蔔
想著這怎麼好好利用的同時
就生出了核桃胡蘿蔔杯子蛋糕

在一個和朋友們去完海邊的午後
邀請大家一起來家裡做甜點
謝謝我們一起完成了胡蘿蔔杯子蛋糕

我住進了這個有植物綠意有烤箱
和烘焙用具的天選的房子
謝謝澳洲房東的慷慨和隨性
讓我開心的在這裡好好做甜點

Hi broccoli friends,

A month ago, I flew to Australia to start my working holiday journey. My first job was at a carrot factory where I had endless free carrots every day. While thinking about how to make good use of them, I came up with the idea of walnut carrot cupcake.

One afternoon after going to the beach with friends, I invited everyone to my place to make desserts. Thank you for helping me make the carrot cupcake together.

I also want to praise Yanchep town. I moved into a house there surrounded by greenery and equipped with an oven and baking tools. Thanks to the generosity and laid-back attitude of the Australian landlord, I’m happy to bake desserts here.

I‘m excited about making desserts in Australia for the first time and wanted to share it with you all.
