Our Story:
The company was started when the owner was working at a bank and began following her passion for making cakes and desserts, with wholesaling of desserts to restaurants being the main focus in the early years. After leaving her 8 to 4 bank job in 1998, she opened a kiosk at Tru Valu Supermarket in Gulf City Mall selling pastries and cakes. The company literally grew overnight when the th
ree employees at the time were each asked to bring a friend the next day to double our production! With the support of her husband and two children at the time, Nichossa opened a kiosk in J.T.A. Supermarket Cross Crossing and a tea shop at Green House Garden, on Independence Ave, San Fernando. After the birth of her 3rd child, a single outlet was the aim, with production and retail taking place under one roof. We opened our doors at Rainbow Plaza Gulf View, in July 2002. At the time we had only six small tables and were aiming for a tea shop/bakery. It was not long before our customers began suggesting meals that they wanted and our restaurant as it is today, took off. Our breakfast service began 3 years later. The company is still family owned & managed. The origin of the name Nichossa: Nicholas & Vanessa.
