Hello Siblings Delight-fulls family. We hope you had wonderful Independence Day. My brother and I just wanted to relax with a couple friends on that day but we wanted a cake for the occasion. Red velvet was the choice, triple layer with the center layer coloured black with cream cheese frosting representing the white. We had planed that we will order the image for the cake after the Olympics so that the medal winners could be put on it along with the flag or flag colours. Things looked pretty grim and then after a few prayers and some panadol for the incoming migraine… KESHORN! AT LAST KESHORN!
We of course wanted gold just like Keshorn but we’ll take bronze! Making this cake had some challenges for whatever reason, from the center layer breaking when trying to place on the first layer to heat of the day making it difficult to remove the image from its plastic backing to place on top of the cake. Talk about sweat! I think I lost 5 lbs. (HEY NEW DIET, STRESS!) Not recommended.
Then I reflected, some days are just full of crap! Are we now the world’s worst bakers? Should we quit? The next cake will be fine.
Keshorn, you are third best in the world. How many of us can say with proof, that we are the 3rd best in the world at what we are doing right now? You’re talented, you’ve got what it takes to do better next time and you’re turning out to be so far a very nice young man that any parent should be well pleased with. Thank you and God Bless.
HAPPY 54TH INDEPENDENCE EVERYONE!
Oh and the cake was moist and lovely! Stress totally worth it! Thanks to you our friends for your company yesterday, it was a pleasure sharing the evening with you.
We wish to thank Darren. He is responsible for all those graphics on the edible images we use. We were particularly pleased with this one he did for Independence Day with Keshorn. Thanks, you’re fantastic!
