เค้ก Black Forest: เค้กคลาสสิคของเยอรมัน มีมาตั้งแต่ศตวรรษที่ 16 เป็นเค้กที่ได้ชื่อว่าเป็น 1 ใน 10 เค้ก ที่อร่อยที่สุดในโลก มีต้นกำเนิดมาจากทางตอนใต้ของประเทศเยอรมัน (แคว้น Baden Württemberg แคว้นบ้านเราเอง 🇩🇪😍) ลักษณะของเค้กนั้น จะประกอบไปด้วย เค้กช็อกโกแลตสปันด์ (ที่ซับซ้อนมากกก ความท้าทายคือต้องคนของแห้งให้เข้ากับไข่และน้ำตาลที่ตีจนขึ้นฟูแล้วไม่หดตัว) เชอร์รี่เปรี้ยวนำเข้าจากเยอรมนี และที่ขาดไม่ได้คือ เชอร์รี่บรั่นดี หรือที่เรียกว่า Kirschwasser (ที่ต้องมาจากแคว้น Baden Württemberg เท่านั้น) รสชาติกลมกล่อม ลงตัว และไม่หวานมาก หอมละมุนกลิ่นเชอร์รี่บรั่นดี และให้สุดๆ ไปเลยด้วย Amarena cherry topping ค่ะ ปล. ตัดน้ำตาลลงมากพอสมควร เพราะเค้กไม่จำเป็นต้องหวานมาก

ส่วนชื่อ Black Forest หรือ Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte มีความเชื่อว่ามาจากลักษณะของเค้กที่มีสีคล้ายลักษณะของเครื่องแต่งกายของผู้หญิงที่อาศัยอยู่ในบริเวณ Black Forest โดยจะแต่งเสื้อผ้าสีขาวดำ และใส่หมวกที่มีลักษณะคล้ายปอมปอมสีแดงค่ะ
