OUR STORY

As a newly-wed who wished to make something for our family to enjoy together, we first asked ourselves how our cakes should be. Neither too sugary nor creamy. Not containing any preservatives. “Bundt Cake” is exactly what we need.

Bundt Cake is inspired by the European “Gugelhupf”, very popular in Germanic countries especially Austria although its origin remains debated. With a hole symbolising the sun, and according to ancient belief, happiness, this cake has for centuries played a central role in many occasions from celebrating weddings to welcoming VIPs.

Just like the original Gugelhupf, our first Bundt Cakes were homemade and shared among families and friends; our unique recipe has been improved ever since to ensure the right taste and texture. Because we are health-conscious ourselves, we prioritise in the freshness and premium quality of our ingredients, without using any additives.

And as we believe happiness is boundless, we wish to share our Bundt Cakes, made individually in our kitchen, to everyone looking for something (not too) sweet to share with the loved ones. We hope you enjoy our cakes and become part of the PORQUE Bundt Cake Makers family.
