She don’t look like much now, but will be transformed into one of these other beauties. We should be hitting the streets in the summer of 2022 and serving up the best clucking fried chicken and donuts.

Visited Willie Mae’s in New Orleans, which some consider to have the best fried chicken in America, on our couple week adventure through the south looking for the best fried chicken. It was definitely good, but Gus’s Fried Chicken still has it beat. To be honest, we’ve had better from street vendors in Thailand. Thailand is the fried chicken Mecca of the world in our humble opinion.

Happy belated 4th to all our fellow Americans. We are proud to be Americans and happy to see so many people celebrating this holiday. We have been watching fireworks from our family house for as long as we can remember. This year was by far the most fireworks we’ve seen, which is amazing to see with all the BS that’s going on.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all! This year was a fantastic one thanks to our amazing customers that made it awesome. We will be closed from now until next year so we can spend time with our family and friends in LA. The actual reopening date has not been set yet, because we have some opportunities in LA, among a few others, that we will be taking time to explore. Good news we hope for our old customers there🤞. Thanks to my beautiful wife for all the character and Christmas drawings on the front of our shop. Not only is she the beautiful smiling face you guys see when you visit us, but she’s an amazing artist as well.

Someone close to me sent this and said I would appreciate it. I do. As a chef for over 20 years, this statement sums it up. To be honest, as a chef, it’s impossible to make everyone happy and I live by the rule that you try to be something to someone, not everything to everyone. I don’t cook for the money or the accolades, I cook for myself and those certain people that can see what I’m translating onto a plate. So basically if you like it, enjoy, if not, cluck off.
