A little more than cake at Lana Cakes… 🪑🎂

My mom, Mrs Violet Kwan, has always loved collecting antique furniture — many of the pieces you see around our Greenwood shop are from her personal collection.

There’s family history on the walls too. The print above the chairs is by renowned artist Lee Man Fong, Mrs Kwan’s third brother. You’ll also spot more prints from his collection on the magnetic board above our phones and iMac.

And the funny part? Every so often, someone walks into Lana Cakes and asks:

“Do you sell the antique furniture?” 😂

Sorry… only the cakes are for sale! 🎂

If this table could talk, it would tell 50 years of sweet stories. Every cake that leaves our doors starts right here.
Once a year, we take time to hand-care for this fixture of our shop: gently sanding down the surface, smoothing out water marks, and restoring the rich warmth of the teak.
It’s the exact same table Mrs Kwan sat behind in those early days. Preserving it isn’t just maintenance — it’s honoring where we came from.
Here’s to taking care of our cakes, our traditions, and the heritage underneath them all. 💜

With skill, compassion and quiet dedication, nurses are there for us at some of life’s most vulnerable moments — bringing comfort, reassurance and hope.
