Before a new week begins, there is a quiet ritual at Lana Cakes. 💜

The cakes may be the heart of what we do — but the ribbon is often the first thing you see.

Lana Lilac ribbons are measured, cut, gathered and prepared by hand at the end of the week, ready for the celebrations to come.

A birthday.
An anniversary.
A reunion.
A gift carried home.

There is a certain beauty in its simplicity: a clean white box, finished with a lilac ribbon. Nothing loud. Nothing excessive. Just a quiet promise that something special is waiting inside.

A deeply meaningful moment for Lana Cakes.

We were honoured to present the special Lana Cakes x Shangri-La Singapore collaboration cake, created to commemorate Shangri-La Singapore’s 55th Anniversary, to our founder, Mrs Violet Kwan.

For Mrs Kwan, who began baking in 1964, this was more than simply seeing a cake. It was a quiet and moving reminder of how a family recipe, lovingly made over the decades, can continue to be part of Singapore’s celebrations in new and meaningful ways.

This collaboration brings together two heritage names that have each, in their own way, been part of life’s special occasions for generations of Singaporeans. To see this commemorative creation placed before Mrs Kwan felt especially poignant — a tribute not only to Shangri-La Singapore’s milestone, but also to the enduring power of tradition, memory, and craftsmanship.

A sweet moment. A proud moment. And above all, a grateful one.
