I grew up in Penang, and moved to Singapore when I was about 6 years old. Being from a Peranakan household, I have been deeply influenced by my maternal grandmother and auntie. Both are excellent cooks and teachers. They taught me how to give life to the best ingredients, how to refine my palate & tastes, and how to be 'feel' your food that you create. My cooking today is a tribute to my maternal grandmother and my wonderful Auntie/Nanny. I love to cook, to give and to share because in giving, I receive. Private catering from my home kitchen is a tradition that is passed down to me from my great-grandmother to my grandmother, to my auntie and now it's my turn to do the same.
