OPEN LETTER TO THE BALD GUY FROM THE GRAIN STORE:

I absolutely loved this city and I feel bad that my experience with this restaurant, ruined my impression of cafe hopping in Melbourne.

We were reserving The Grain Store for last because of it's rave reviews online. So needless to say, we were all pretty excited to go inside. After being sat down, in comes the bald guy in a red checkered top to take our order. We ordered 3 things off the menu. This guy then made a offensive comment loud enough for us to hear.

So next time you're in Melbourne, I suggest that you skip this place altogether. The food was lackluster in both taste and presentation and the service, disgusting. The place lacked the respect and manners you'd expect from a store that claims that "Customer interaction and customer satisfaction is their number one priority"

I wonder if race factored into how you handled the situation, but if it did, hats off to you, bald guy from The Grain Store, your bigotry definitely makes the world a better place. I hope your restaurant's overcooked poached pears and bland buckwheat pancakes buys you manners. , .

Another hidden gem at Hong Kong Street. You are likely to walk straight pass it. Keep an eagle eye out for number 17. :)

They say "It takes an average of 40 hands to produce coffee... from plant to cup!" By far.. Closest to Melbourne coffee.

I went to a hardware and it looked like this. Menu is limited and all coffee are brewed and hand crafted from their roastery. They only served black, flat white, latte and capuccino. Not bad for a Wednesday.
