I only wish I’d managed to snap better photos, but making sure the guests were well taken care of was always the priority. Sometimes the best compliment is being too busy serving everyone to capture it all. 💕

~有客自远方来~ We had family visiting from overseas, and I wanted them to bring home a little taste of Singapore. 💚

Fresh pandan leaves from my garden, turned into mini pandan chiffon cakes, baked with love.

I hope they enjoyed them as much as I enjoyed making them. ☺️

🌈 Rainbow used to be the theme for everything in my elder girl’s world — from her room décor to her birthday celebrations.

It was also during this season that I decided to cut back on artificial food colouring and made the switch to natural food-based colours instead — a choice I’ve continued with to this day.

It’s birthday season in our household again, and I can’t believe it took me this long to share the cakes I made for my girls’ birthdays.

Every year, I ask them what they would like for their birthday cake, and then I do my best to bring their ideas to life.

Kicking off the series is a cake inspired by every little girl’s favourite ice queen — Elsa. ❄️👑

There’s something extra special about creating a cake that reflects their personalities and interests at each stage of their lives. Watching their faces light up when they see their cake makes every late night in the kitchen worth it.

~ A mother’s love for her mother 🌷~ Felt the adrenaline rush when I put together this cake within a hour. Not the prettiest cake I’ve made, but perhaps the one made with the most heart. Because no matter how rushed the day was, Mum was always going to have her Mother’s Day cake. 🌷

The fam finished the cake and even packed some home despite a full dinner — safe to say it was well loved. 🥰

To all mummies — Happy Mother’s Day! And it’s never belated, because mothers deserve to be celebrated every single day. 🌷

~ Like spring, Easter brings new beginnings—sweet, simple, and full of joy. 🌼~

Hopped on the chance to make a rustic carrot cake 🥕✨

A classic — moist, warmly spiced with cinnamon, loaded with carrots and crunchy walnuts, all finished with a luscious cream cheese frosting.

Okay, I’ll admit… it was also the perfect excuse to bring out the chocolate bunnies and Easter eggs 🤪

“Do you still bake?”

A simple question — but one that fills my heart every single time. ❤️

Even though I’ve been a little missing in action these past few years (life has a way of keeping us busy), I still receive the sweetest messages and order requests from those who remember — and miss — my bakes.

I’m truly, deeply humbled.

Yes, I still take on orders once in a blue moon, whenever time allows. Baking has always been close to my heart, and I’m looking forward to slowly returning to be part of your special celebrations again. And yes… bake sales might just be making a comeback too. 😉

Seven years ago, I made Alicia’s 10th birthday unicorn cake (watch till the end!). Last weekend, I had the honour of creating a cake fit for a princess — or rather, a queen — for her again.

Happy birthday, Alicia. Thank you for growing up with my cakes. Thank you Mummy Chu Zhen for the trust and support over the years!✨
