Brera, being a community bakery, is committed in our social responsibility in the area of green movement, mental health, student internship and selected charitable causes. Brera has been delighting customers through the delivery of care packages on behalf of corporate institutions, group-buys, and individuals to spread love and care to the volunteers, clients, friends and family. A firm believer of serving quality bakes since we opened in 2016 as a humble bakery in the heartland.

Nine months on, and our Gallery Café has slowly begun to take on a life of its own. Have you visited yet?

What started as a café space is becoming something much more — a cozy corner where conversations happen, ideas are exchanged, friendships are formed, and people from all walks of life find a place to pause. We’ve loved seeing it become a meeting spot for office discussions, a rest stop for tourists and visitors, a welcoming space for families and young children, study visits, seniors, and corporate groups.

Perhaps what makes us smile most is watching this community shape the space together. We warmly welcome artists to display their works where it feels meaningful, and we remain open to creative collaborations and fresh ideas that can add life and beauty to this little corner.

We welcome group visits to our bakery from organisations supporting individuals with special needs and underprivileged communities. Opening our doors, sharing a little about the craft of baking, and creating moments around bread and pastries is our small way of bringing joy, exposure and making learning a little more meaningful through simple experiences and outings.

What we do is only a small gesture compared to the incredible work of organisations that serve tirelessly every day, such as Down Syndrome Association Singapore, caring for and supporting more than 700 members with dedication and heart. We have deep respect and admiration for those who choose this path of service and make it their life’s work.

Truthfully, we often leave feeling that we are the ones learning the most. They too carry unique gifts, talents and strengths, and there is so much beauty in seeing the world through a different lens.

May we all choose to be a little kinder, a little more patient and a little more inclusive — embracing every beautiful soul God has created with love and purpose. 🤍

Mother’s Day hospitality at Kingdomcity Singapore is always one of the highlights of the year for us to serve — a meaningful occasion where the church intentionally honours the mothers and women within the congregation.

Today, most F&B spaces were filled to the bream with families gathering to celebrate, cherish and give thanks to the women who have loved, prayed, sacrificed and nurtured generations with unwavering strength and grace.

It is truly an honour and privilege for us to serve the women of significance today.

Hot Cross Bun is traditionally eaten to commemorate Good Friday and to celebrate Easter.
A hot cross bun is a spiced, sweet yeast-leavened bun containing dried fruits(sultana, cranberry, black currant, raisin and orange peel) and marked with a cross on top, eaten on Good Friday to mark the end of Lent. The cross represents the crucifixion of Jesus, while the spices symbolize those used in his burial.

Come be our guest and celebrate with us, the cross is for everyone! Come get a free bun or two on Good Friday and Easter Sunday at 10am service.

Sometimes you receive a heartfelt message from your Front of House team, and your heart softens instantly — knowing how hard they work to serve with excellence, yet still fall short in moments of human weakness. We are all human, in need of grace.

Weekends at Empress Road can get really, really busy.

There are moments when one of us is answering phone calls, making coffee, packing your pastries into boxes, replying messages, and assisting walk-in customers — all at the same time. 😅

Some days we joke that we wish we could grow a few more arms just to keep up.

If we have ever come across as rushed or less friendly during peak hours, please know it is never intentional. We truly appreciate every single person who walks through our doors.

We are learning to stay calm in the chaos, to choose our words carefully, and to serve with more warmth — even when the pace is fast.
