Long hours spent cooking for Christmas was an annual affair growing up with my grandparents.

My grandpa will patiently stir the coconut for hours to make his signature Coconut Candy while my grandma did the same to make sure her Rempah had that extra oomph.

Stirring that pot of pineapple jam today reminded me of the good old days. I was always taught to cook from the heart and be patient if I wanted to whip up great dishes just like Grandma ❤️
