We’ve never thought SG Foodie would feature a shop that’s in the basement. 😱

Yet one year ago, things looked very different. We had a small group of regulars, but still wondered if all the effort was worth it, and if more people would ever discover us. 🥺

Today, the same small team that was once struggling to be seen… is finally being seen. ❤️

And more importantly, more people are beginning to appreciate handcrafted authentic Italian tiramisu made with just the OG ingredients. 🇮🇹 All made by a chef who has spent 35 years perfecting his tiramisu. 🕰️

Now, a few more people know we’re here. And for us, that means everything. ☁️ If you love great handcrafted tiramisu, come meet us at Tmizus! 🍰✨

Trying a new recipe can be risky. 😅 What if you don‘t like it? But… what if you do? 🤔

That’s exactly what we thought when we created our Pistachio Tiramisu. Starting with our strong Italian tiramisu foundation, Chef Joseph stepped in and gave it a nutty twist, turning our classic into something new!

From Sicilian pistachios flown all the way to Singapore, we roast and blend them in-house before making the entire tiramisu fresh in our kitchen. 👨‍🍳

Because trying something new doesn‘t mean leaving the classics behind, it means seeing how far we can take them, while staying true to where we started.

So… what do you think of our Pistachio Tiramisu? Come take a bite, and tell us what you think at Tmizus! 🤎

Is it really necessary to close for 4 days just to make tiramisu? Is that taking it a bit too far?” 😅

Yes. We probably are. But for tiramisu lovers, there’s just a thin line between an okay tiramisu and one that’s genuinely memorable. 🤤

So sure, people can tease Chef Joseph for being so particular, obsessing over little ingredients and hand-piping every layer of mascarpone cheese. 👨‍🍳

At the end of the day, he simply wants every customer to taste this Italian classic at its best: velvety, dense, rich, and balanced. And hopefully, that first bite brings a little “wow!” ✨

So if you love an authentic Italian tiramisu made with care, see you soon at Tmizus. 🤎

”Why isn‘t your pistachio bright green?“ 💚😅

I’m sorry to disappoint, but real Sicilian pistachio isn‘t bright green. Instead, this is actually the natural colour, earthy and slightly brown when blended. 🌰

And we’re not going to add colouring just to make it look tempting. No artificial colouring or flavouring is one principle we hold tightly in our kitchen. 🙅‍♂️

Using ready-made pistachio paste would be easier, but it‘s just not our thing. We prefer to use real pistachio nuts, then roasted and blended in-house. 👨‍🍳

So if you love pistachio tiramisu for how it really looks and tastes, see you soon at Tmizus! 🍰✨

Our Black Forest Tiramisu sold out crazy fast at Takashimaya. 🍒🔥

But Pistachio Tiramisu? It took a little more time. And we kinda get why because not everyone is THAT crazy about pistachio. 😅

But Chef Joseph? He is. He basically went nuts on the budget. Literally. 🌰 Instead of just using pistachio paste, he uses actual Sicilian pistachio nuts and this much goes into just one small batch. Some are blended into thick pistachio paste, the rest roasted for that nice crunch. Then it all goes on top of our tiramisu.

That’s why this is made for people who really, REALLY love pistachio and want the real nutty, rich stuff. 💚

So if you’re nuts about pistachio tiramisu, come find us at TMIZUS. 🍰✨

This tiramisu doesn’t allow sharing. 😤 At least, one of our customers made it very clear, sharing was not an option.

And honestly? It’s not greedy when every bite feels too good to give away. 🤤

Maybe it’s the dense mascarpone cheese, the boozy espresso-soaked savoiardi biscuits, or simply that once you start, giving away even one bite feels like a very bad idea. ☕🥃

Either way, this is a tiramisu Chef Joseph has spent 35 years perfecting. 👨‍🍳 We make it for sharing. What happens after that is between you and your tiramisu. 🍰✨

So if you’d love to taste the tiramisu people refuse to share, come find us at Tmizus. 😉

This tiramisu shop can’t be found at ground level. 👀 You could walk past this building every single day and never know there’s a 4.9-star tiramisu hideout hiding beneath it. ⭐

Even more surprising? The chef has been making tiramisu for 35 years. From home based to professional kitchen, this basement was all he could afford. Budget was tight, so he spent where it mattered, inside the box.

Whipped cream? Strictly off his ingredient list. He doesn’t care about fluffing up volume to earn more per box. The cream is made purely with pasteurised egg yolks and mascarpone cheese. 🧀

No alcohol essence either, just real espresso coffee with rum and Kahlúa liqueur straight from the bottle. ☕🥃

And that’s when it clicked. He believes flavour speaks louder than packaging, and the 4.9 star reviews prove he’s right!

So if you care more about what’s inside the tiramisu than what’s outside the shop, come find us at TMIZUS ✨

We‘re SOLD OUT for all 14 days at our Takashimaya Takashimaya Department Store Singapore pop-up! 🙌 Thank you, people! Young Chef Joseph back in 1990 would never have imagined this.

And yes, we heard you loud and clear. You LOVE our Black Forest Tiramisu! 🍒🍫

We’d love to bring more, but every single tiramisu is handcrafted by our very small team with zero shortcuts.

We truly appreciate all the feedback received during Takashimaya, and we promise to keep doing our best.

While we‘re away, come find us at our usual spot, 3 levels below the ground, at Tmizus. 🍰✨ See you soon!

🇸🇬 Celebrating Singapore with pride, Happy National Day!

Chef Joseph started in 1990, when Singapore was just 25. A young nation, a young dreamer. 🇸🇬

This weekend, Singapore turns 61! 🎉

And Chef Joseph? Still here, handcrafting every single tiramisu with his own hands. 👨‍🍳

So is it tiring? NO, and never will be! ❤️
Because love doesn’t fade, it deepens.

Every order reminds him why he started, not for fame, not for fortune, but for that one moment when a Singaporean craves authentic tiramisu, it will always be there.

Every celebration deserves a cake. 🎂 Come get yours today at Tmizus! 🍰✨

They’re closed 4 days a week, are they even serious about business?” 😤 That was my first thought too.

Until I met Chef Joseph. 👨‍🍳 This is their 35th year running, and they’re open only 3 days because they’re a small team with zero shortcuts.

Monday to Thursday? He makes tiramisu non-stop.
Friday to Sunday? He makes it after customers leave. 🕰️

He could’ve piled the mascarpone carelessly, but instead he pipes it line by line, even dusting extra cocoa just for that unboxing moment. 📦🤎 All that effort for one box.

From Day 1 to Year 35, just so Singaporeans can taste the real deal, dense, rich, and made with pride.

Open Friday to Sunday. Come taste the obsession at Tmizus. 🍰✨
