This chocolate butter cake was made using a recipe blogged by my friend Diana Gale aka The Domestic Goddess Wannabe. It is so amazingly good, only 1/3 of the cake remains. A great way to usher in 2019, with the perfect slice of chocolate cake. Chocolatey, buttery, so soft n with a tinge of salt.

I know not everyone’s a fan but I sure am! Jenny’s bakery butter cookies had me at first bite when I tried them a few years back. Been trying to achieve that same taste cos I can’t keep gg to HK to get them and I’m not gg to pay through the nose for those sold here. Jenny’s cookies have a distinctive airy, fluffy texture and with these I’m at least 85% there. Passed some to a few colleagues today and the feedback was: can sell!! However, theres also an underlying coffee hint in Jennys cookies which I’m not sure the addition of coffee emulco can necessarily achieve!!

Made chicken pie! It was so yummy, two were gone within 5 min out of the oven. Everything was made from scratch, the pastry n filling n it was homemade goodness in every single bite 😋😋 Paul Hollywood would hv approved of my pies, cos no soggy bottoms!
