Auntie Jessie, now 74, began baking cakes at home for her loved ones and church community. This proved to be her saving grace in the 1970s when she was widowed in her twenties.
To make ends meet, our mama bear dug deep and became an expert in home cooking. Running classes from her kitchen, she has preserved local flavours, not just by instructing fellow Singaporeans but also clients from as far as Japan. All while raising three young children singlehandedly!
Auntie Jessie always carried on with strength and resilience. She is now a proud grandmother who takes joy in her expanded family. But even at 74, Auntie Jessie is as devoted to her craft as ever.
Starting this business is her next step to making sure her baking, her favourite kitchen activity, lives on with a legacy.
Throughout the years she has poured love into her delicious cakes, touching not just her family, but everyone she has shared them with. Thriving on word of mouth, her cakes have both reached corporate titans in their boardrooms as well as the dinner tables of private homes. Her bakes are trusted both by her clients and her fellow homemakers.
