Our history dates back to 1945, where we first emerged on the streets of Vietnam as a humble pushcart doling out delicious Pho and Cha Gio after the fall of the Viet

nam Royalty. The ambrosial recipe of our food was second to none and soon, it burgeoned the business. Pham Quyen hence is the extended arms of the family business where it is presently in its third generation running. Its direct descendant is Mrs Aira Pham, who picked up the trade at the tender age of six. She converted to Islam in 2018 and together with Fahmy Nasir, they expanded Pham Quyen’s reach to Singapore as a revamped Muslim-friendy version. They wanted their fellow Muslim community to be able to enjoy their mouthwatering dishes too, so while the methods of cooking have been retained, the ingredients are entirely halal. Initially, upon setting foot in Singapore, we were a home-based company, but quickly moved to a central kitchen and finally a stall at 6 Clementi Road in 2021 to meet the rising demand of our patrons. Since then, we have been satisfying visitors’ bellies with comforting fare and hope to continue doing so for years to come. We specialize in whipping up a long, authentic variety of beloved Vietnamese street foods such as Banh Mi, Pho, Goi Cuon, and Cha Gio just to name a few, using premium and top-quality ingredients. For example, the beef bones used in our Pho are brewed for at least 12 hours with no MSG or additives. On top of that, to ensure freshness and great taste, all vegetables are air-flown from our farm in Vietnam. Due to our presence and demand in the market, we also have been invited as guests to many media appearances--including the honor of being featured in Mediacorp Suria and Warna Radio Station.

What started as a small pushcart in Vietnam in 1945 grew into multiple restaurants in Vietnam before opening our first Halal Vietnamese restaurant in Singapore in 2018.

Today, Pham Quyen celebrates 8 years in Singapore, serving authentic Southern Halal Vietnamese cuisine with our in-house Bánh Mì bakery, baking fresh Vietnamese bread daily.

At Pham Quyen, Singapore’s pioneering Halal Southern Vietnam cuisine, every dish carries a story of heritage, family and tradition.

Known in Vietnam as Banh U and locally in Singapore as Bak Chang, they may share the same iconic pyramid shape but once you taste it, you’ll know… this is a different story altogether.

Our version is inspired by Southern Vietnam heritage, especially the flavours of the Mekong Delta rich, comforting, and deeply rooted in tradition.

As an award-winning Muslim-owned Vietnamese restaurant, we are grateful to share these flavours with families in Singapore.
