I'm feeling all the chocolate cupcake vibes today! Maybe its the autumn colours that I'm reacting too.

Also these boxes (which you can put in the dishwasher by the way and use again) have a few oat cookies tucked in the side, packed with delicious Swedish oats. Reusable packaging and local organic ingredients are key WHISK principles. Running a sustainable businesses is all about the details.

Mermaids are fun and colourful and bring a bit of magic to the sea. While mermaids may be fictional the oceans they live in are wonderful and real. The oceans being such an important part of our earths systems and home to many creatures who are just as exciting as mermaids. Sadly the latest IPCC report shows that humans have been careless and disrespectful to the planet we call home and the effects are already showing. IPCC Vice President Ko Barrett says "We are seeing the effects of in every region of the planet - from the polar regions to the tops of mountains, to the bottom of the ocean.” Action is no longer an abstract concept, but needed in order for us to survive.

I dried flowers from Lilla Labäck and used white chocolate from Svenska Kakaobolaget tto make the tail. These wonderful suppliers take the earth and sustainablity into the decision making process of their businesses. This shouldn't be unusual it should be something we demand from all companies if we plan to have any hope of mitigating the

Simple piping and dried apple top this Perfect Party Cake! The great advantage of dried fruit, vegetables and flowers is that you can use them even when they're not in season.

As I live in Sweden it helps to save a few of the summer delights and bring them out in January to brighten up the darker days.

This has been an area we've actively supported through our monthly donations to CAMFED - Campaign for Female Education. Education and Health are often a political hotbed, but those who can afford should step in any way they can to help those who aren't privileged enough to have choices.

This extract from Project Drawdown is a great summary of a conolex issue:
"Today, there are economic, cultural, and safety-related barriers that impede 62 million girls around the world from realizing their right to education. Key strategies to change that include:
- make school affordable;
- help girls overcome health barriers;
- reduce the time and distance to get to school; and
- make schools more girl-friendly

Carbon footprints are a common topic. Addressing population—how many feet are leaving their tracks—remains controversial despite widespread agreement that greater numbers place more strain on the planet.

Honoring the dignity of women and children through family planning is not about governments forcing the birth rate down (or up, through natalist policies). Nor is it about those in rich countries, where emissions are highest, telling people elsewhere to stop having children. When family planning focuses on healthcare provision and meeting women’s expressed needs, empowerment, equality, and well-being are the result; the benefits to the planet are side effects"

Pretty in pink! Not just a cute film from the 80's, but a delicious strawberry buttercream almost vanilla cupcake sprinkled with a few dried cornflowers. Also sitting proud in their reusable box and living the free life!

While there are gorgeous flowers springing up all over the place now that it's getting warmer, we still love pressed flowers to decorate our cakes.

This Just Carrot cake was topped with cute piping detail and of course the light purple and soft yellow violets 🌺 We often get asked why its called 'Just Carrot Cake' and it's because we just use carrots and don't have any of the spices many people would expect like cinnaomon, nutmeg and ginger. Instead we add brown butter which gives it a delicious nutty taste. It's worth worth trying out different, more local, flavours in your baking as the results are often super tasty!

Yes, grab them while you can 😄 These are without a doubt the best asparagus I've ever tasted and they are grown with a lot of love and attention by Mia on her biodynamic farm in Lidköping.

Totoro adventures! I loved making this cake as I was able to add so many elements like dried flowers, biscuits and the birthday boys favourite toys. It reminds me of spring and the forests coming to life after winter.

Appreciating the uniqueness of each season and what each one has to offer is a good way to live more in balance with nature. Instead of having mangos year round, why not wait for Swedish berries. When they arrive you can make jam and enjoy it in January to, but without the hefty carbon footprint.

We're talking food waste today! We all do it, businesses do it and it's one of the biggest causes of greenhouse gases. In Sweden we can do a lot more to buy local, not throw away food unnecessarily and embrace food with bumps or that are misshapen. Let's TRULY appreciate the food we are lucky to have so readily available.

"Producing uneaten food squanders a whole host of resources—seeds, water, energy, land, fertilizer, hours of labor, financial capital—and generates greenhouse gases at every stage—including methane when organic matter lands in the global rubbish bin. The food we waste is responsible for roughly 8 percent of global emissions.

A third of the food raised or prepared does not make it from farm or factory to fork. Producing uneaten food squanders a whole host of resources—seeds, water, energy, land, fertilizer, hours of labor, financial capital—and generates greenhouse gases at every stage—including methane when organic matter lands in the global rubbish bin. Whether you're celebrating Easter or just enjoying the long weekend, it's a lovely opportunity to enjoy the spring sunshine in Stockholm!

This aronia berry cupcake was topped with an edible geranium flower which reminds me of a cherry blossom. One of my favourite sites is to see cherry blossoms in bloom in the heart of the city in Kungsträdgården. I love that even though you might be in a city you can still connect to nature 🌸

Cupcakes living free without a liner and partying together in a reusable box. Making more sustainable choices is easier than we think and sometimes all we need to do is think outside the (reusable wooden) box 🌍

We don't need to be perfect in our efforts, but we should at least try!
