Earlier this year, Sylwia asked me if I made sugar roses. I didn’t really.. I hadn’t made one in two years. And back then they were pretty rough.

After that conversation, Saracino sent me some Pasta Bouquet, and what started as nervous hands soon turned into late nights perfecting petals and patience.

Once they were ready for my wedding cakes, I started introducing them into selected designs throughout the summer.. refining their shape, movement and imperfections until they spoke the same language as my cakes.

Not to create perfect copies of nature, but to create roses that belong.

And somewhere along the way, I found my rose.. whether pure white, coloured or dusted.. a way to bring a small piece of me into even the cleanest of designs🤍

A little something to brighten your Tuesday💛

Yellow roses are said to symbolise joy and warmth. And that’s exactly how I felt every second creating this cake for L & J.

While the roses were bright in colour, with the sunlight coming through their petals, the cake was draped in buttery yellow and lavender. Not as bright. Not in competition.

From the roses to the acrylic tiers, the afternoon sun found its way through the whole design and brought it to life in the most beautiful way💛

Somehow, the summer rain only made this beautiful day feel even more romantic🤍

Draped as her gown, a texture to tell the history of the venue and a stand, chosen because of its surroundings.

And when the finishing touches are done, only the most beautiful part remains - for the cake to meet its couple.

Because seeing the cake exactly where it was meant to be, with the people it was created for, will always be the part I cherish the most🤍

Yesterday marked two years since I created my very first wedding cake.
And I still remember exactly where I was when I received that first enquiry🤍

Looking back, what stays with me the most isn’t just the cakes I’ve created, but the people who believed in me before there was much to show.

The couples who trusted me without a portfolio.
Who saw something in my work before it had fully found its voice.
Who invited me to be a small part of one of the most important days of their lives.

Every wedding has shaped me as a designer.
Every couple has become part of my journey, and memories I’ll always look back to with warmth.

Thank you for every conversation and idea you shared..
And most of all. For every bit of trust you placed in me.

It’s something I’ll never take for granted.
