Taught by certified instructors with international experience, Caramel is where you go to learn about Sweet Arts! Back in 2013, Bernadine ‘Jojo’ Rego, an experienced cake decorator and instructor, recognized the growing need for a space dedicated to cakes and cake making in Qatar, and Caramel was born. We started as a one-stop shop for home bakers and cake decorating enthusiasts, offering a variet
y of cake decorating and baking classes as well as a retail area that stocked a large range of products and equipment for the cake decorating enthusiast – the first of its kind in Qatar. Our baking classes, Caramel certified decorating courses, and Masterclasses taught by experts from all over the world proved to be very popular, and we trained thousands of students over the years. It wasn’t long before we came to be known for our focus on quality and attention to detail, and we were asked to design and create bespoke cakes. These exquisite – and delicious! – cakes were created for a variety of events, from small birthday parties, to large weddings and corporate events. At the same time, we focused on growing our range of products and cake decorating tools. Operating out of a villa in the Al Waab area which had been customized to our requirements, we had classrooms, a retail area and a fully functional kitchen in which we created our cakes, and we soon came to be known as THE place to go for anything cake in Qatar. And of course we keep innovating our product line to meet the needs of the market. Because, in the end, it’s all about the cakes!
