Bad posture when lifting heavy objects can be especially dangerous. To avoid harmful injuries while lifting, bend at the knees, keep the back straight before lifting an object, and use your legs to stand up with the object.

Disc pressure and stress on the lumbar spine are at its lowest when lying in the supine position (25 kg). These stresses slightly increase when you change from the supine position to lying on your side; this disc pressure is measured at 75 kg. 100 kg of pressure is measuring on the disc of the lumbar spine when you are standing in the upright position. When a person is leaning forward from the standing position the pressure increases to 150 kg. Holding a weight and leaning forward in the standing position causes this pressure to further rise to 220 kg.

Keep follow the posture while bending forward as shown and one can save the loading of the spine.

Up to 80 percent of strokes could be prevented by lifestyle changes.The biggest risk factor is high blood pressure, so keep your blood pressure under control by watching your diet, getting enough exercise and taking medications, if necessary. (The same steps will help control high cholesterol, another risk factor.) And don’t forget that the guidelines for what are considered healthy blood pressure numbers dropped recently, from under 140/90 to under 120/80, so even if yours has always been fine, it’s a good time to get it checked again.
