Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.
Good Morning, Very Good Morning, Jumma Mubarak, and a very Happy Independence Day to Pakistan — 14th August.
Today is not merely a day of celebration, flags, and slogans. It is a day that reminds us of our history, the sacrifices of our forefathers, and the responsibilities that come with freedom. Pakistan achieved independence through immense sacrifices, migrations, struggle, perseverance, and the hopes of generations. Yet freedom is not a blessing that is secured only once; it must be protected and strengthened in every generation through knowledge, character, unity, economic self-reliance, strong institutions, national vision, and responsible leadership.
True independence means that a nation possesses the wisdom, strength, and capability to make its own decisions according to its national interests, principles, and long-term future.
On this blessed Friday, we raise our hands before our Creator and pray from the depths of our hearts:
O Allah, the Almighty, Master of all the worlds, Owner of all power, and Knower of what lies within every heart! Keep Pakistan forever under Your protection and mercy. Protect our homeland, its borders, skies, seas, cities, and people. Grant Pakistan peace, stability, economic prosperity, knowledge, technological advancement, justice, sovereignty, and leadership that rises above personal interests and makes decisions for the national interest and the future of generations to come.
O Allah, protect our country from internal division, terrorism, instability, corruption, ignorance, and every conspiracy that seeks to weaken its unity, security, sovereignty, and progress.
O Allah, shower Your mercy upon the entire Muslim Ummah. Grant unity to our ranks, wisdom to our leaders, strength to our nations, and mutual respect among Muslim countries.
O Allah, protect the people of Gaza and all Muslims suffering from war, persecution, oppression, and displacement wherever they may be in the world. Grant them safety, patience, strength, healing, and victory over hardship; protect their lives and families, provide them with humanitarian relief, and enable the Muslim Ummah to support them with wisdom, compassion, unity, and meaningful action. Ameen.
On this historic day, the Joint Defence Agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye in Makkah also represents a significant strategic development. It marks an important step toward mutual defence, regional security, and deeper strategic cooperation among Muslim nations. In an international system undergoing profound geopolitical transformation, such cooperation can become increasingly important for regional stability, greater strategic self-reliance, and a stronger framework of mutual security.
But history teaches us that agreements do not become powerful merely because they are written on paper. They become meaningful through national strength, economic stability, intellectual excellence, technological capability, unity, and the determination to act upon shared commitments. Pakistan's real challenge is to transform its geographical importance into economic power, its defence capabilities into industrial and technological strength, and its ideological identity into a state defined by excellence, justice, strong institutions, and responsible governance.
O Allah, keep Pakistan strong, secure, and prosperous forever. Keep its national flag flying with honour. Elevate the ranks of our martyrs and all those who made sacrifices for the homeland. Bless Pakistan with peace, stability, dignity, sovereignty, and prosperity, and grant the entire Muslim Ummah unity, security, honour, wisdom, and strength.
Ameen, Ya Rabb al-Alameen.
