First year Birthday 🧸

06/09/2026

This anime-themed birthday cake + matching cupcakes was honestly such a fun order to make. 🖤🤍

Mostly because it came from a new client who is OBSESSED with anime… and umm, so am I. 😋😂 So the second I got the idea, I was already way too excited to make it.

But the best part?

EVERYTHING was edible.
The characters, the anime panels, all the little details you see on the cake — edible. 🥹

And I think that's why this one felt a little more special to me than a regular order. Because growing up, an edible anime character cake was basically something I could only imagine. If you loved anime, you had to settle for printed toppers or whatever you could find. A cake covered in actual edible characters? That felt impossible.

So while I was making this for someone else's birthday, a tiny part of me felt like I was finally making the cake little anime-obsessed me would have gone CRAZY for. 😭🖤

It's funny how being a baker sometimes lets you create things you once wished existed.

And maybe that's one of my favourite parts of this business — sometimes, I'm not just making someone else's dream cake. I'm accidentally fulfilling a few of my own dreams along the way. ✨

Now tell me… which anime would YOU want on your dream cake? 👀🍰

This 3-pound vintage caramel crunch cake was one of those cakes I could spend hours perfecting. 🎀🤎

And while editing this video, I found myself thinking about all the hours I spent building this little dream of mine.

The lectures I rushed through, the plans I cancelled, the weekends I spent working, the nights I stayed up finishing orders when everyone else was probably asleep.

At the time, I sometimes wondered if I was missing out on too much.

Now, looking at the things those sacrifices helped me create, I don't think I was.

I don't regret the time I gave to my work.
I don't regret choosing the things that mattered to me.
And I definitely don't regret all those little moments that slowly turned into something I could call **mine.** 🤍

Maybe that's what makes a cake like this feel a little more special to me.

It's not just buttercream, piping and caramel crunch.

It's a tiny reminder of how far I've come. ✨

And honestly… I think she's pretty worth all those hours. 🎀🍰

Cute cake. Uncomfortable conversation. 🎀

Aaj caramel crunch cake banate banate thori si baat ho jaye about boycott, consumer choices, and the very convenient “but it’s made in Pakistan” argument.

Agar hum apne cravings control nahi kar sakte, toh at least let’s be honest about the consequences of our choices.

And yes, I’ll happily lose a few flavours and a few “regular clients” over my conscience.

Taste buds can survive. Principles shouldn’t have to. 🤷🏻‍♀️
