This picture perfect cake is my daughter's birthday cake that I started with a lot of excitement and in that zone and with so many things on my mind I added double the amount of sugar to the buttercream 🥹. Only a baker can understand the horror of it, but instead of panicking I added some cream cheese and strawberry puree to the buttercream that not only fixed it but also elevated the flavor.
