I've been watching this Iran War closely for 32 days.

The missiles. The oil prices. The closed strait. The bunker busters. The diplomacy that goes nowhere.

And I keep thinking the same thing.

This war is the best financial education class I've seen in years.

Here are 5 things it's teaching you — if you're paying attention.

1. Cash is not safety. Cash is the thing that gets destroyed.

Before February 28th — oil was $65 a barrel.

Today it's above $115.

That's a 77% increase in 32 days.

Your savings account didn't go up 77%.

Your salary didn't go up 77%.

Your grocery bill, your fuel bill, your electricity bill — they all went up.

That gap between what your money earned and what everything costs is called inflation.

And inflation is not an accident. It is the predictable result of any major supply shock, any war, any government that prints money to pay for things it cannot afford.

My rich dad called cash "the investment that guarantees you lose slowly."

He said:

"Savers are losers — not because saving is wrong. Because the dollar you save today buys less tomorrow. And less the year after that. And nobody sends you the bill."

The people who held assets going into this war oil, gold, silver, energy stocks, real estate — watched their net worth go up.

The people who held cash watched their purchasing power quietly disappear.

Same war. Completely different outcomes.

2. The government will always protect the system — not you.

The IEA released 400 million barrels of oil from strategic reserves.

The largest emergency release in history.

Oil went UP 17% in 72 hours.

Then the US lifted sanctions on Russian oil — to calm markets.

Then President Trump threatened to obliterate Iranian energy infrastructure — which sent oil higher.

Every single government action in this war has been designed to protect the financial system, the dollar, the energy supply chain, the stock market.

Not your savings. Not your gas bill. Not your grocery costs.

My rich dad taught me this when I was young.

He said:

"Robert, the government is not your financial partner. It is your competitor. It taxes your income. It inflates your savings. It bails out banks. And it calls all of that stability."

The US average gas price crossed $4 a gallon this week.

The government released its emergency reserves.

Gas is still $4.

Nobody is coming to top up your tank.

3. The people who saw it coming bought before everyone else panicked.

Oil was $65 a barrel on February 27th.

Every analyst knew Iran and the US were on a collision course. Every military expert knew the Strait of Hormuz was the most important chokepoint on earth. Every energy economist knew what closing it would do to prices.

The information was available.

Most people didn't act on it.

"The difference between the rich and the poor is not intelligence. It's what they do with the same information."

By the time something is on the front page, the opportunity has already moved.

The Strait closed. Oil hit $115.

The front page finally noticed.

The smart money was already positioned.

4. In every crisis there are losers AND winners. The difference is which side of the asset you're on.

Airlines — destroyed.
Tourism — destroyed.
Global shipping — disrupted.

US shale producers — generational cash flow event.

Permian Basin operators with existing wells that break even at $30-$45 a barrel — printing money at $115 oil.

Defense contractors — record order books.

US shale producers — printing money at $115 oil with wells that break even at $40.

And here's the counterintuitive one that most people got wrong:

Gold — DOWN 14% in March. Not up.

Why?

The Iran war spiked inflation fears so severely that the Federal Reserve is now expected to keep interest rates HIGH or even raise them.

High rates make gold less attractive.

So the same war that sent oil to $115 sent gold to its worst monthly performance since 2008.

I'd still bet on gold, time to buy.

5. The most expensive financial mistake is waiting until you feel safe.

32 days ago, most people said: "I'll watch and see how this develops."

Oil was $65.

Now it's $115.

The people who waited to "feel safe" missed a 77% move.

My rich dad used to ask me one question whenever I hesitated.

He said:

"Robert, what exactly are you waiting for? Safety? Let me tell you something. Safety is the most expensive thing you will ever buy because you pay for it with missed opportunity, every single day, forever."

The war in Iran didn't create an opportunity.

It revealed one.

The opportunity existed the moment the first bomb fell on February 28th.

Most people were still trying to understand what was happening.

The financially educated already knew what to do.

I've made millions. Lost millions. Made it back.

And the one thing I know after 50 years of studying money is this.

The world never runs out of crisis.

And every crisis is a classroom.

Learn from it.

Bagay na Puwedeng Gawin Bilang Paghahanda sa Posibleng Malawakang Power Outage!
