We first dabbled in the kitchen concocting foods we love to eat whenever we're together:

zesty and spicy chicken wings, to filling Italian dishes with our own brand of savory richness (you SHOULD be made aware of my Baked Macaroni; it is my pride and joy), up to classic Filipino favorites (i.e., our family's comfort "ulam" Adobo a la Raki), there are also heavy rice
dishes (Baked Rice a la Raki is a dish that will take your tummy to happy-land) and we end on a high note with seafood in our plates ( from Cheesy Baked Salmon that will melt your heart to our tangy Shrimp "kick-you-in-the-nuts" Gambas). Whenever we have finished gorging ourselves with these heavy, savory meals; we tend to equalize our palates with something SWEET. And so; oft we would go out to seek that which would satiate our collective sweet tooth; being the "self-proclaimed food connoisseurs" that we are; we would usually talk about how we can make the desserts we're having "better" suited to our liking; and so we started baking. We looked at some recipes and discussed the merits of each ingredient and how it would complement the other ingredients and put our own twist to it, making it ours; making sure that each will add a wonderful texture and taste to the outcome: and so it was for quite a while: planning and perfecting the recipes in our heads; until it was time for the theory to be put in use. We mixed and folded; tasting (and smelling!) the batter to make sure it is aligned with our hearts' desired outcome. AND THE BATTER DELIVERED: lock, stock and barrel. And now, we are here; trying to see if what we find delicious can be said the same by others we don't pay to say the feedback we aspire for. :-P
Since the test kitchen was for the family's consumption; every ingredient has been meticulously chosen for the certain flavor it will bring to the product; meaning; COST WAS NEVER A FACTOR; and so, you can rest assured that these treats truly embraced the home goodness you expect; each treat has been (and is!) made with the utmost care and love that adds that special zing to each of products.
