Ending the year with this simple yet elegant “too-pretty-to-eat” cake.

I had initially planned to stop accepting cake orders so I could welcome the New Year refreshed, stress-free, and fully present with my family. However, when I learned that this cake was for a mother’s 89th birthday, I didn’t hesitate to say yes. I truly believe that every mother deserves a special cake on her birthday—they deserve to be celebrated.

The client requested a simple cake with flowers, which inspired me to create this understated yet elegant design, adorned with handcrafted wafer paper flowers. It felt like a truly meaningful way to close this year’s cake-making journey.

My heartfelt thanks to everyone who trusted me to be part of your special occasions. I look forward to another year of creating edible works of art.
