Start your week healthy and refreshing with a bowl of Salad in Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing.
Feb has ended and the summer's heat is almost approaching. Strawberries will be soon out of season so grab 'em while they're cheaper.
Layer your greens and fruits. I use lettuce, sliced apples, raisins, and fresh strawberry slices. You may also add nuts for some crunch like almonds and cashews. Then drizzle with your freshly made balsamic vinaigrette.
You only need these things:
-olive oil (or extra virgin)
-balsamic vinegar
-honey (as sweetener)
-mustard (Recipe usually calls for dijon but I can't find it in the local grocery, so yellow mustard it is. That one you also use for sandwiches. Anyway, you only need a few for taste.)
-salt and pepper, and garlic powder (to taste)
I use 1:2 ratio for balsamic vinegar and olive oil. The rest of the ingredients depends on your liking.
