Chocolate is a universal language (next to music!) So, milky donuts that are filled with it may speak(and call out!) to many hearts out there (you know you want it!!!). But Matcha is a different matter altogether. It's in acquired taste and maybe reserved for the adventurous taste buds.

Whether you go for the safe and delectable Choc-a-lot or the odd-umami-flavored Matchamacallit, you still get the same gooey and milky donuts you love. Choose one or get both. We won't judge.

Both come in a pack of 6 @ P150 pesos.

This quintessential bread roll has become trending lately and the lockdown it seems have compelled every Mom, Mama and Nanay to try their hand at this classic that has been given a new twist. This Momma was not spared. Admittedly, I had a lot of hits and misses with this one. Once it was too dense the next it was fluffy when freshly baked but lost its fluffiness the next morning. Eventually, I got the hang of it and have steadily gained confidence with my bread-making skills. Today, I have gotten pretty optimistic with making Pandesal after I got nice feedbacks from those who have tried. While I would very much like to make this munchies on a regular basis, this Momma Maven can only make them once weekly and for pre-order.

Bread is carbs, there's just no way around it. But for a bread-loving family who can't give up those carbs, I had to find a better and healthier alternative (it has more fiber and is more nutritious than white bread, they say) for my diabetic husband. This was the bread of choice. Since the first whole-wheat bread I baked during the quarantine period, it has become a staple in our table, for breakfast, merienda or just something to snack on in between meals. They're crusty on the outside, with the right amount of air pockets inside that makes it soft and fluffy. The aroma while baking gives you a hint of its flavor before you even bite into a piece. Getting good feedback from those who have tried it makes me wonder...why not try put these babies in the munchies list? What do you guys think?let me know your thoughts :)
