We started this campaign looking for one Everyday Hero. But after reading all your nominations, we realized how difficult it is to simply choose one.

Every story is different. We also realized that being a hero is not about who suffered the most. It is about what that person chose to do for someone else and the difference they made in their life.

So before we announce our Komida Everyday Hero 2026, we want to recognize some of the people you shared with us and the different ways they became someone’s hero.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to share something so personal with us. We truly appreciate every story.

Over the next few posts, we would like you to meet them. And soon, we will introduce our Komida Everyday Hero 2026.

We’re proud to be part of Round 2!

This September 11–13, Komida joins a community of local and homegrown brands celebrating Filipino creativity, entrepreneurship, and products made by us, for us.

Come discover our take on fun, simple, and affordable better-for-you snacking from our Filipino-inspired Sgt. Sisig Trail Mix, to our Banana series and Popcorn Walnuts.

For us, being part of is more than just setting up a booth. It’s an opportunity to share what Komida stands for: supporting local suppliers, collaborating with local creatives, and creating products that make healthier snacking more enjoyable and accessible.

🇵🇭 NOMINATIONS ARE OFFICIALLY CLOSED.

When we started “Who Is Your Hero?”, we simply wanted to recognize an everyday person whose kindness, strength and selfless actions made a difference in someone’s life.

What we received were stories of mothers, fathers, sisters, husbands, friends and ordinary people who became someone’s hero simply by showing up, sacrificing, caring and loving.

To everyone who took the time to nominate someone, write their story, comment, share and engage with our campaign, thank you.

Some of your stories made us smile. Some made us reflect. And some reminded us that there are so many acts of goodness happening quietly around us every day.

Now it’s our turn to give these stories the attention they deserve.

We will be taking the next few days to read and carefully review every valid nomination before choosing our Komida Everyday Hero.

And while we set out to find ONE hero, your stories have already shown us something important. There are many heroes among us.

Stay tuned as we recognize some of the stories that touched us and introduce you to our chosen Komida Everyday Hero.

EVERYDAY HERO ANNOUNCEMENT: SEPTEMBER 10

Thank you for helping us celebrate the people who don’t always receive recognition for the good they do.

They don’t have to be famous.
They just have to have made a difference.

What’s in your suitcase?

For us, there’s always room for a little taste of home.

Komida is packed and ready to travel again. Not just as snacks for the journey, but as something proudly made in the Philippines 🇵🇭 that we get to carry, share, and introduce wherever the road takes us.

From our kitchen to our suitcase, and from the Philippines to different corners of the world, every pack carries a little piece of our Komida story.

Made local. Packed for the world.

Where should Komida travel next?

🇵🇭 WHO IS YOUR HERO?

This National Heroes Day, Komida wants to celebrate the heroes we don’t always hear about.

They don’t have to be famous. They don’t need a title, an award, or thousands of followers.

Maybe it’s a parent who never stops providing.
A friend who showed up when you needed someone.
A teacher who believed in you.
A coworker who always helps without expecting anything in return.
A neighbor who quietly serves the community.
Or even a stranger you once crossed paths with whose kindness you never forgot.

We want to hear their story.

For the next 7 days, we’re looking for ONE Everyday Hero to recognize and celebrate with a special KOMIDA Gift Box.

HOW TO NOMINATE:

👉 Tag or mention your hero in the comments.
❤️ Tell us why they’re your hero or share the selfless act you witnessed.

That’s it.

There is NO LIMIT to the number of nominations. Know more than one deserving person? Nominate them too. You may submit as many meaningful nominations as you want.

📅 Nominations: August 31–September 6, 2026

Our chosen hero will be selected based on the story shared—not the number of likes or reactions.

So look around you. Sometimes the people doing the most good are the ones receiving the least recognition.

Tag your hero below and tell us their story. 👇

Because heroes are all around us. 🇵🇭

Sunday Travels with Komida

From the Philippines to the world, one adventure at a time.

There’s something special about seeing something we created at home travel this far. Komida isn’t just a snack for the journey, it becomes part of the experience, the memories, and the places we discover along the way.

This Sunday, Sgt. Sisig Trail Mix made it all the way to Leukerbad, Switzerland. 🇨🇭

Wherever your travels take you, take a little Komida with you and share what we proudly create with the world.

Made local. Travels global.
