Ahma means Grandma in Chinese language.
The passion and vision my Mom had started when she met a teacher and showed her how to make a cake. She used to tell me this story many times, as she reminisces the first time she saw how to make a cake. She was amazed as it turned out, from mixing liquid and dry ingredients then put inside the oven, after baking it. Whala! You have now a cake. That happened way back 1975 but she distinctly remembers how it all happened. Whenever she tells the story, there was no blur moments or gaps, it was all vivid in her memory core.
Then, she started to study and enroll in baking, cooking, meat preservation classes while having a full-time job as an accountant. It was her dream to start the bakery business. She invests her time learning throughout the years. She always tells me the story that she used to bake for the family birthdays, make chiffon cakes in a tube pan the big ones, that was the trend before during her time. She used to sell them and make some revel bars but due to life circumstances, she wasn’t able to pursue it fully.
