Quaransweets PH started in May 2020 during lockdown when 22-year-old Karlene lost her job due to a pandemic she decided to open an online food bakery together with her mother Karel. They both actually an avid fan of freshly baked goodies and has a passion for baking.
Wayback 2015, when they started baking banana muffins for their own and eventually decided to sell it on their own sari-sari store. The banana muffins recipe is personally owned by Karel, and her friends and neighbors loved it. Karlene got the idea of making her online bakery shop from her friend Devi. Since online deliveries is the best way to reach out for wider consumers from different places Devi pushed Karlene to sell their banana cupcakes online, and Devi knows how delicious the cupcakes were even during their college days. Devi also helped Karlene to name her online business, since we're in the middle of community quarantine due to the pandemic and the freshly baked goodies usually taste sweet, they came up with the name "QUARANSWEETSPH". The Quaransweetsph logo was also designed by Devi.
With 3,000 pesos as their starting capital, Karlene and Karel tried to sell their banana muffins, they put some twist on it, they added peanuts, choco chips, and oreos as toppings so it won't be just an ordinary banana cupcake. After one month of launching their business online, a lot of their friends and mutual friends from Facebook loved and patronized their product. After they saw the positive reviews and impact of their product, the following month they decided to try different products like carrot cupcakes, chocolate cupcakes, and customized chewy gooey cookies, wherein you can choose your desire toppings and fillings. And eventually, they also offer ube cupcakes which became a hit for their customers because of the real ube halaya and cheese as a filling for the cupcake.
In a span of four months since they started selling online, they already bought more baking supplies from the money they earned through baking and is planning to buy a bigger oven to be able to create and experiment more baked goodies that people will surely love and enjoy to eat.
