Our Story

Founded by my sister, Belen Gaerlan, the industrious, hardworking and indefatigable original owner of Cannelle. She went around peddling her goods from house to house, resembling the farm-to-table set up. This was years prior to the advent of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and even light years ahead of Friendster and Multiply.

Cannelle Bakeshoppe continued its growth although laid back as most people would describe us, it was anything but stagnant. Funeral parlors along G. Araneta were among our valued clients then came various banks and events such as weddings and caterings -- a more cheerful mix of crowd as compared to our morbid beginnings :)

The neat but antique commissary of Cannelle was embellished further by the construction of our store in 2001. Hoping to snag the attention of everyJuan, but still maintaining its unique, one of a kind, unlike no other, method of operating hours -- because at Cannelle’s we do not believe in mass production, unlike our more illustrious counterparts.

For more than 24 years in the food industry, with the help of God we are still able to uphold and maintain the quality and taste of our preservative free breads. Which appeals not just to the souls along G. Araneta but also to the living around Metro Manila.
