I just realized it’s been 4 months since we launched Wawa’s Bakery! 🥺 🍞

So far, we’ve made 91 batches of baked goodies (don’t ask how I counted... I have a system that probably only makes sense to me. 😂).

In just four months, we’ve:
✨ Grown from 2 products to 6
🛍️ Joined our first bazaar
📦 Sent our products all the way to Bicol
🤝 Met so many wonderful people
😴 Lost a few weekends to early mornings and
late nights

It’s been exhausting at times, but I’m incredibly grateful for every order, every customer, and every bit of support along the way.

Here’s to many more batches! 💛

Story time... 🍞🤎

I love wheat bread.

When I first started baking, I told myself, “I’m going to learn how to make a really good wheat bread.” So I bought all the ingredients, searched for recipes online, and prepared myself for the challenge.

To my surprise, my very first bake was a success! Then I baked another one... and another success. ✨

This was actually the first product I ever thought of selling because I genuinely love wheat bread. I wanted an excuse to keep baking it and share it with people (for a fee, of course. 😂).

But after I posted it and received my first orders... everything went downhill.

Every batch after that failed. And I mean a lot of them. 🥲 I was so discouraged that I didn’t touch my baking tools for over a week.

So... I stopped selling wheat bread.

Fast forward to when I got more comfortable making focaccia, I decided to give wheat bread another chance. I found a different recipe, gave it another shot... and it worked! 🤍

I baked it again. And again. And every loaf came out just the way I wanted.

So here we are. I’m finally selling it again. Haha!

This loaf means a lot to me because it reminds me that sometimes failure is just part of the process. If I had given up completely, this bread wouldn’t be here today.

And yes, it isn’t just meaningful, it’s also really soft and surprisingly filling. It has a hearty, substantial texture, so even just one slice can keep you full. Perfect for your favorite spreads, sandwiches, or simply toasted with butter. 🤎🍞
