On the birth anniversary of the Father of Philippine Revolution Andres Bonifacio, we invite you to join us at the foot of Mount Makiling and the historic Freedom Park of UP Los Baños to:

-proclaim our food sovereignty,
-celebrate the abundance of our indigenous flora,
-and honor the farmers and indigenous leaders who uphold the right to land.

Here, the personal, political, and spiritual intersect: plant-based, local and indigenous food as our way of nurturing the environment and every every being, man or animal.

Everyone with clear and sincere intentions to do their part to eradicate all forms of systemic oppression is welcome.

This isn’t a space that calls for perfection nor a space where only limited aspects of you are welcome.

Labels and affiliations? What matters here is how willing are you to expand and evolve.

This is FREEDOM Park.

Come with your family and friends or come alone with the openness to meet people who believe in the same things as you do, as chosen kin.

Listeners and lovers of solitude; dancers and the cannot-be-still, you will not be bound, there is room for us all here.

Come in your grief, come in your joy, come in your sacred rage and fury against injustice. Come in your sadness, and come in your peace.

And we will LEAVE NO TRACE of waste- this is still sacred ground.

Makiling can hold space for us all and together, we will move towards our collective liberation.

National Coconut Week is coming up, so let's learn the ways to reap the nutritional benefits of this native, abundant, and versatile fruit! 🌴 Using fresh coconut and coco-based products (vinegar, sugar, aminos, syup) crafted by small producers, we will combine them with indigenous ingredients such as gamet, pancit lucban, siling labuyo, sakurab, siyunug lahing and kayumanis to make delicious Filipino dishes with a modern twist!
