Vinta Regatta de Zamboanga
Zamboanga where the colorful Vinta is originated,it is also known as the city of flowers it also have the most biggest mosque of the Philippines constructed currently and the home where The Pink sand beach located. Regatta de Zamboanga is a race of colorful Vinta sails and it was yearly celebrated every September to honor the Vinta origins and the Saint Patron of Nuestra Señora de la Virgen del Pilar, also known as Our Lady of the Pilar, which is a catholic church and Vinta was made by our brother and sister muslim Tausug, Yakan and Sama despite the differences of religion both are celebrating the rich culture of the Colorful Vintas of Regatta de Zamboanga. As the Celebration started the tribe Sama will perform a Moro dance that named after the Vinta called "Pangalay" it is perform on top of sailing Vinta boats which honor the migration of the tribe to the Philippines. The steps imitate the movement of the Vinta through the waters. The Vinta truly signifies the rich and colorful history of Zamboanga, the home of the colorful Vintas.
