PRICE CHECK: Cocoa Powder 2022 vs 2025
Let’s talk numbers:
In 2022, cocoa powder was around ₱300-₱330/kg.
Now in 2025, it’s hitting ₱1000-1,060/kg — more than double the price in just 3 years!
This is just one example. Ingredients, packaging, electricity, rent, and even water have all gone up — and yet, bakers are still doing their best to keep prices fair and deliver delicious, high-quality products.
So here’s a friendly reminder:
Please don’t lowball your local bakers. Behind every cake, cookie, and pastry is time, effort, and rising costs.
To fellow bakers and sellers:
Let’s continue practicing proper costing. Don’t be afraid to price your products based on quality and sustainability — not just to compete.
There’s room for everyone.
