Running a small business is scary.
Not because of the long hours, sleepless nights, rising costs, or the endless list of things that could go wrong, we somehow learn to live with those.
What's truly scary is knowing that one random post can change everything.
One customer can post a bad experience online, and before you even get the chance to explain, apologize, or make things right, the comments start pouring in. Suddenly, people who have never even tried your food, products, or service join in with their own opinions. It becomes more than just feedback, it becomes an avalanche.
As business owners, we have to develop such a strong stomach. We have to accept that not everyone will love what we do. We have to own our mistakes, acknowledge our shortcomings, learn from them, and keep improving.
IT HURTS, OF COURSE. We pour our hearts, time, savings, and countless sacrifices into our businesses. So when something we've built with love is publicly criticized, it stings. IT JUST STINGS ☹️
But we don't have the luxury of giving up. Dai kita mayaman para mag habo. DAI KITA MAYAMAN.
We apologize when we're wrong. We fix what we can. We learn. Then we show up again the next day, unlock the doors, and keep going.
To every small business owner out there, I hope you never lose the courage to continue, even on the days when the internet feels unkind.
Here’s to having strong hearts, stronger stomachs, and the resilience to keep choosing to move forward. Matcha na kita! 🤪💗
