Every year, I get to create a special Christmas-themed cake for a lovely girl whose birthday falls on November 30th. This year, she wanted to add a touch of pink to her usual Christmas cake, and it’s turning out to be absolutely adorable!

Have you started decorating for Christmas yet? Last year (2023), our Christmas theme at home was also pink. I chose it because of my furbabies, I wanted the decorations to be merry and Christmassy, but with an extra cute touch for my furbabies and any kids around. It’s my very first Christmas without a hint of horror too, haha!🌲🩷

I made this cake in August 2021, and it’s my absolute favorite from all the ones I’ve made in my caking journey. It might seem simple, but it’s special to me because it was a request from a kid who loves Pennywise so much. I put my heart into making the character as best as I could, and I hope I did it justice. Seeing the little birthday boy so happy made it all worth it! ❤️‍🔥

I really miss making Frozen themed cakes and cupcakes. From 2013 to 2016, it was such a hit that almost every little girl wanted it for her birthday. Now it makes me happy and nostalgic at the same time, reminding me of when I was just starting my caking journey. Thank you for this order!🩵❄️

I had such a fun time creating this Mulan cake. The client provided the design, from the intricate details of Mulan’s dress to the delicate cherry blossoms, I’m just so happy with how it turned out. This project also brought back a cherished core memory from my childhood. In 1998, during our National Book Week celebration at school, my friend portrayed Mulan for her class, while I represented ours as Pocahontas. She won 1st place, and I came in 2nd. How time flies! Some 20ish years later, I’m making this cake for a young lady, just as I once was. 💜

Creating 2D designs on cakes feels just like drawing! I loved capturing Spiderman’s iconic look, this time on a cake instead of a cupcake. It’s quite a challenge making 2D designs with fondant because you need to bring the design to life on a flat surface, unlike 3D designs, which feel more like sculpting where you can shape and mold and play around with the fondant to create a three-dimensional character. Both are challenging but enjoyable, depending on my mood, lol. This was actually easy compared to my Pennywise cake. 🥴💜

Sugar, spice and everything nice...these were the ingredients to create the perfect... crime-fighting little girls!

I never thought I’d be making a Powerpuff Girls cake for children of this generation since it's a 90s kid thing.😍 It was like reliving my high school era..so nostalgic and exciting. I sure did enjoy making this cake! 🩵💚💗
