🎂 5-day CAKE DECORATING CLASS SERIES
Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Duration: 5 Modules | 1–2 sessions per module
Target Learners: Beginners, home bakers, BPP NC II students
📘 MODULE 1: Cake Basics & Proper Icing
Objective:
Learners will properly prepare, level, fill, and ice a cake with clean, professional finish.
Topics:
Cake types & structure
Proper leveling, torting & filling
Buttercream consistency (soft, medium, stiff)
Crumb coat & final coat techniques
Hands-On Activity:
✔️ Ice an 8” round cake with smooth finish
Output:
✔️ Clean, evenly iced cake
📘 MODULE 2: Basic Piping Techniques
Objective:
Learners will execute basic piping designs using correct piping tips.
Topics:
Piping bags & tips (round, star, petal, leaf)
Pressure control
Borders & simple flowers
Hands-On Activity:
✔️ Practice board piping
✔️ Decorate cake sides & top
Output:
✔️ Cake with at least 5 piping designs
📘 MODULE 3: Fondant Basics & Simple Figurines
Objective:
Learners will cover a cake with fondant and create basic decorations.
Topics:
Fondant preparation & coloring
Covering round cakes
Simple fondant flowers & toppers
Hands-On Activity:

✔️ 2–3 fondant decorations
Output:
✔️ Smooth fondant cake with toppers
📘 MODULE 4: Theme Cake Styling
Objective:
Learners will apply design concepts to create a themed cake.
Topics:
Color harmony
Theme planning (birthday, minimalist, floral)
Texture techniques (palette knife, drip cake)

📘 MODULE 5: Basic Pricing, Packaging & Presentation
Objective:
Learners will learn how to price, package, and present cakes professionally.

Costing ingredients & labor
Simple pricing formulas
Packaging & storage
Basic food safety
Hands-On Activity:
