Easy Pandesal Recipe
Wag tayo magsawa magshare para lahat makagawa
Ingredients
500 grams 1st class flour/bread flour
2 tsp yeast
1 tsp bread improver
1/2 tbsp salt
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup shortening
280 grams lukewarm water (adjust as needed)
Extra flour (if needed)
Bread crumbs for coating
Procedures: Mix all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl until the dough is smooth and elastic. Add more water or flour if necessary to achieve the right consistency. Cover the dough with a damp cloth or plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size, about 1 to 2 hours.
Once risen, punch down the dough to release the air. Divide it into equal portions, shape each piece into small balls, and roll them in bread crumbs. Arrange the coated dough balls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Cover and let them rise again for about 30 minutes or until they puff up.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F). Bake the pandesal for 15 to 22 minutes or until golden brown. Let the pandesal cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm with your favorite spread or filling!
