A Must read!
And they say it's just a cupcake. Why so expensive?
Dear Customers,
First thing is first, not all bakers have the luxury to buy wholesale ingredients. No need to be an economist to understand what factor that does. You are not only paying for the ingredients, cause if you really think that way, might as well you bake it. Aside from ingredients, bakers also invest in tools and equipment ( which i'm sure you don't have) , so if you're planning to
"ako nalang mag bake, mas mura pa" Go ahead and be our guest! (unless you already have mixer, pans, measuring cups and oven sitting in your kitchen)
Bakers also invest in continuing education (just like other professions) by attendings classes and workshops to upgrade, be updated on the latest trends and techniques and of course to learn more about baking and decorating.
The most important thing is, Bakers invest their time, talent and skills. As they say, Time is Gold. Baking takes a lot of time, a handful of talent and tons of skills. Learning to bake and decorating is not an overnight thing. Baking and Decorating your cake or cupcakes will not require a magic wand but will cause sleepless nights, missed meals, burns and the dreaded eyebags.
So the next time you say "Ang mahal naman, cake lang yan" Try baking and decorating it yourself then "Usap tayo!" π
