The Philippine Society of Baking General Assembly 2026 at UBE Tower was a reminder that true industry growth is built on knowledge, discipline, and collective responsibility.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our Guest Speaker, Mr. Restituto Mines Jr. of Kalinisan, for delivering a focused and practical discussion on Food Safety. His insights reinforced that sanitation is not merely compliance — it is a professional commitment that safeguards our customers, our brands, and our industry’s credibility.

Food safety, proper handling, and operational integrity are not optional standards. They are foundational pillars of every responsible bakery.

Members of the Philippine Society of Baking (PSB) visited the University of Spuds and participated in a hands-on learning experience focused on baking innovation.

The session provided practical insights into alternative ingredient applications and their impact on texture, volume, and product versatility in baked goods.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our participants for attending our 1½-day seminar titled “5S and GMP.”

We would also like to thank Ms. Cecille Diamante, the speaker of the seminar, for generously sharing her knowledge and expertise.

Philippine Society of Baking (PSB), in collaboration with Filipino-Chinese Bakery Association, Inc. FCBAI, is currently conducting the 5S & GMP Seminar facilitated by Ms. Cecille Diamante, Technical Consultant.
The 1½-day seminar is providing participants with in-depth discussions on 5S implementation, Kaizen/TQM, auditing, and continuous improvement, together with GMP fundamentals covering hygiene, production, storage, waste management, pest control, equipment calibration, and facility design.

In Memoriam
🕊️ Mr. Henry Yu Ah
Founding Member, Philippine Society of Baking
March 22, 1950 – December 18, 2025

The Philippine Society of Baking honors the life and legacy of one of its founding members.

Mr. Henry Yu Ah was a pillar of our community - a quiet force whose dedication helped shape the organization and the industry we serve today. His commitment, integrity, and generosity of spirit will be remembered long after his passing.

We extend our sincerest condolences to his family and loved ones, and we join the baking community in remembering his lasting contributions and the life he lived in service to others.

May he rest in peace.

Thank you to everyone who joined us last November 21, 2025 for the Introduction to Extended Shelf Life Production Seminar.
We welcomed around 100 participants from various bakeries, food companies, and allied industries — all committed to strengthening technical expertise and advancing baking standards in the Philippines.

Our deepest gratitude goes to our esteemed speaker, Mr. Roy Chung, Baking Consultant of U.S. Wheat Associates, for generously sharing his expertise with the community.

This program was made possible through the strong partnership of U.S. Wheat Associates, the Filipino-Chinese Bakery Association, Inc. (FCBAI), and the Philippine Society of Baking (PSB).
