NU PEERS - National University Peer Facilitators "๐˜พ๐™–๐™ง๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ ๐™๐™š๐™–๐™ง๐™ฉ๐™จ, ๐™๐™š๐™–๐™ก๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ ๐™ข๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™™๐™จ." ORIENTATION GUIDES: Informing our co-Nationalians with factual information as a form of help.

Established in 2012, the National University - PEER Facilitators is one of the recognized student organizations at National University - Manila. Upholding the core mission to facilitate our fellow Nationaliansโ€™ emotional and psychological well-being through various projects and activities such as Therapies, Peer Facilitating, Peer Training Programs, Peer Tutoring, and Coffee Talks. Peer Facilitators trained to supervise and provide the following responsibility:

โ€ข Decision-Making Assistance

โ€ข Problem-Solving Assistance

โ€ข Referrals to Professionals

We, the PEER Facilitators, are a group of students who are Emotional First Aiders, Servant Leaders, and Mental Health Advocates; practicing confidentiality, and empathy to understand our co-Nationalians better. The functions as a PEER Facilitator are as:

BUDDIES: Helping younger or new students, guided throughout the transitions into the new university. SPECIAL PROJECTS: Designing and Coordinating in terms of projects of benefit to students and other individuals within the community. ACADEMIC ASSISTANTS: Helping students in setting goals, considering options and planning of actions. REFERRAL AGENTS: Establishing further support through connection of students to appropriate specialists or professionals. EMOTIONAL FIRST AIDERS: Providing emotional support by sorting out problems and concern, brainstorming ideas through provision of practical help when possible. PEER FACILITATORS: Assisting students as conflict mediators in resolving disputes

Mula sa mga kilalang pangalan sa ating mga aklat hanggang sa mga tahimik na bayani sa ating pangaraw-araw na buhay, ipinapaalala nila sa atin na ang tunay na lakas ay nagmumula sa pagtulong sa kapwa. Bilang mga peers na nakatuon sa empatiya at kalusugang pangkaisipan, panatilihin natin ang kanilang alab sa pamamagitan ng pagiging sandigan, pakikinig, at paglikha ng isang ligtas na espasyo para sa lahat.
