Raymundo Cipriano Pujante Cayabyab, popularly known as Ryan Cayabyab or "Mr. C," is a renowned Filipino musician, composer, and conductor who was named National Artist of the Philippines for Music in 2018. For over five decades, he has been a pillar of Original Pilipino Music (OPM), influencing generations through his diverse works in popular music, choral arrangements, orchestral pieces, and musical theater. He has written over 15 original musicals, several masses, film scores, and symphonic works.He formed and mentored iconic Filipino vocal groups, including Smokey Mountain, the Ryan Cayabyab Singers (RCS), and 14K.He taught music theory and composition at the University of the Philippines College of Music for nearly 20 years and runs the Music School of Ryan Cayabyab.Iconic Compositions
"Kay Ganda ng Ating Musika": His signature song, which won the 1978 Metro Manila Popular Music Festival.
