DTI10 Regional SSF Coordinator, Mr. Joebert Maglangit and DTI-Camiguin Provincial SSF Coordinator, Ms. Jhenieviev Torayno Peñalosa proudly present the banner products from one of the successful SSF project beneficiaries in DTI-Camiguin: dried squid, dried fish, and bottled sardines produced by the Kahugpungan sa Masilakong Mangingisda (KASAMMA) Organization. This group of dedicated fisherfolk has been supported by DTI through shared service facilities that enhances productivity, and other programs that support business development and growth such as the KMME Program, OTOP Next Gen, and Negosyo Center program.
KASAMMA, a thriving association of 150 members, has been a local favorite for 15 years, providing quality dried fish and squid to residents, tourists, and markets beyond Camiguin. With the commitment to adhere to the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in their production processes, they are now working towards FDA-LTO certification.
The DTI’s SSF program aims to empower MSMEs with advanced technology and equipment to boost their marketability and competitiveness, contributing to job creation and economic growth nationwide.
