This is how I spent my Sabado as a baker.

I wanted to create something new for our menu, but still familiar. Something that brings back a little nostalgia.

Back in 2016, I started supplying cakes and pastries to a café. I was just starting out as a baker, still figuring things out, and dreaming of having my own café someday.

But back then, all I could really do was hope, pray, and keep baking.

Choco Campfire was actually one of the very first cakes I supplied to that café. Nothing too fancy, just a cake I was really proud to make at the time.

Fast forward to today, almost 10 years later. I now have my own café, I’ve learned so much, made countless mistakes, experimented with different techniques, and grown so much as a baker and business owner.

And somehow, I found myself making Choco Campfire again.

Same cake, same familiar flavors, but this time, with everything I’ve learned over the years, I wanted to give it a little upgrade.

It’s funny how something as simple as recreating an old recipe can remind you of how far you’ve come.

Sometimes, we’re so caught up chasing what’s next that we forget to appreciate the things we once only prayed for.

So here’s our Choco Campfire, reimagined.

A little piece of where I started, made better by everything I’ve learned along the way.

And maybe a little reminder to myself that while there’s still so much I want to achieve, I’m already living a part of what I used to dream about.

Hope you love this one as much as I loved bringing it back.

It’s been a while since I last posted. But yes, we’re still here and still operating, guys.

I’ve just been feeling a little down lately with everything happening, Super El Niño, cafés opening here and there, low sales… you know, the usual small business existential crisis. Hahaha.

I’ve always wanted to keep this page inspiring and encouraging. But lately I’ve been asking myself, “how can I inspire and encourage other people when I don’t feel inspired or encouraged myself?”

So I went quiet for a bit. But I know this is just another season, and this too shall pass. We’ve been through slow seasons before, and somehow, we’re still here. So maybe for now, showing up even when I don’t feel like it is enough.

Anyway… posting our cakes because kailangan na naming bumalik sa algorithm ninyo. 😂
