The ECCP - European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, through FMI, its international trade fairs arm, held a strategic meeting with the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) on July 1, 2026 to explore practical pathways for strengthening the global expansion of Philippine fashion through Fashion Philippines in Milan—the country's dedicated fashion showcase held alongside Milan Fashion Week.

Representing CITEM were Ms. Pinky Parra, Supervising Trade Industry Development Specialist, together with Senior Trade Industry Development Specialists Ms. Shaira Joy Nacino and Ms. Danielle Purzuelo.

The discussion highlighted how Fashion Philippines in Milan goes beyond a traditional exhibition by providing participating Filipino designers and brands with mentoring opportunities, strategic exposure to international buyers, and direct engagement with market representatives and industry leaders.

The meeting also explored potential partnerships among ECCP, CREATE Philippines and Manila FAME to further strengthen the Philippines' presence in the European fashion market through coordinated trade promotion, industry partnerships, and market development initiatives.

ECCP was represented by Ms. Dawn Cabigon, CEO of FMI, Mr. Ayrton Santos, International Trade Fairs Associate, and Ms. Alliyah Gutierrez, International Trade Fairs Apprentice.

Together, we are creating new pathways for Philippine fashion to thrive on the global stage—showcasing Filipino creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation to the world.

The Salesforce Training at Messe München's Shanghai Main Office concluded on June 27, 2026, where attendees deepened their understanding of reporting tools, data management, and workflow processes that support efficient sales and customer relationship management.

The training highlighted the importance of accurate and timely data management in supporting coordinated sales efforts across the Messe München network, enabling teams to make informed decisions and deliver greater value to exhibitors, visitors, and partners.

Culminating the three-day training is a knowledge-sharing session, providing representatives from MMI Shanghai Co. Ltd., MMI Asia Pte. Ltd., Chambers of Commerce with an opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss best practices in utilizing Salesforce within the organization.

As part of its continuous commitment to operational excellence and digital transformation, FMI participated in Day 1 of Messe München's Salesforce Training at the Shanghai Main Office held on June 25, 2026. Representing FMI is Mr. Ayrton Santos, International Trade Fairs Associate.

The session focused on maximizing the Salesforce platform to improve data accuracy, streamline workflows, and strengthen sales and customer relationship management processes. The programme also included a visit to transport logistic China, where Mr. Robert Schönberger, Global Industry Lead for transport logistic, air cargo, and ceramitec exhibitions, shared valuable insights on the exhibition’s growth, key industry trends, and innovations shaping the logistics and air cargo sectors.

FMI's participation forms part of its broader commitment to strengthening its global sales capabilities and equipping its team with the digital tools and expertise needed to better serve partners, exhibitors, and stakeholders across international markets.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: Beyond highlighting Philippine achievements and opportunities, the session also surfaced concrete pathways for strengthening the country's water security.

"In terms of wastewater effluent solutions, whether those with the existing technologies, those that scale, and we are also open to startups that are willing to pilot... so we invest and we invite these companies to find solution partners and connect with industry associations and if you are able to look for a pilot that we can work together with the private sector and the government... that's one," Engr. Meg Anne Santos, Head of Sustainability at Nestlé Philippines shared.

The successful participation at SIWW2026 reinforces the growing recognition of the Philippines as an important contributor to regional and global discussions on water security. It also highlights the value of international platforms in accelerating innovation, investment, and collaboration toward a more water-secure future.

The Philippines strengthened its presence on the global water agenda at the Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) 2026 Water Expo through the dedicated Main Stage session, Country Focus: Philippines, held on 16 June 2026.

Organized by MMI Asia Pte. Ltd. together with FMI and the ECCP Environment and Water Committee, the session brought together leaders from across the water sector to discuss critical issues surrounding water security, climate resilience, sustainable water stewardship, and innovative solutions for underserved communities.

Key insights from the discussion highlighted the need for resilient infrastructure, diversified water sources, stronger governance, and greater collaboration among government, industry, investors, and technology providers to address the country's growing water challenges.

As the international trade fairs arm of the ECCP - European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, FMI was pleased to support and facilitate the successful participation of Philippine stakeholders at one of the world's leading platforms for water innovation and sustainability.

The Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System - Corporate Office (MWSS) welcomed the recognition of Manila Water Company’s Upper Wawa Dam as Water Project of the Year at this year’s Global Water Awards, with the honor formally conferred to MWSS Administrator Leonor C. Cleofas, CESO IV, during the sidelines of the Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) 2026 in Singapore.

The recognition was received by Administrator Cleofas and WawaJVCo President and CEO Melvin John Tan on behalf of Prime Infra and Manila Water.
